Advocates of Color Caucus
The Advocates of Color Caucus seeks to empower victims and domestic violence advocates that identify being a person of color by enhancing the quality of services provided by the statewide licensed domestic violence programs. This caucus is comprised of domestic violence advocates that identify as a person of color, activists, and allies working to end domestic violence. The AOCC serves as a resource to the statewide domestic violence network by addressing the intersection of racism and domestic violence, addressing policy issues and the impact on domestic violence victims of color and their children, and addressing the elements of oppression and how it perpetuates domestic violence in marginalized communities.
