“Hope Is Everything” training
& Inspiration Luncheon 2026

This open-to-the-public course on the science of hope will be presented by Casey Gwinn, Esq., the lead author of the bestselling, award winning book, Hope Rising: How the Science of HOPE Can Change Your Life.  He’ll be joined by Alliance for Hope International’s President and CEO, Catherine Johnson.

This fantastic course will provide an overview of the impacts of trauma and violence in the lives of those experiencing domestic and sexual violence, and will provide practical tools for professionals working with survivors of abuse.  It will also look at the powerful, transformative, and empirically measurable impact of increasing hope in the lives of adult and trauma survivors.

If you’ve ever wanted to attend a coalition-hosted training, this is a great one to begin with.

Our awards luncheon for Domestic Violence Awareness Month honors those who inspired us by going above and beyond over the past year to support our work to end domestic violence in WV, and assist survivors all throughout the year. Please attend the luncheon to meet these wonderful people and others who are doing the work. There will be a short ceremony to confer the honors. See who won the awards below.
