Rape and Domestic Violence Intervention Center
Established in 1973 as the first rape crisis center in West Virginia and expanded in 1978 to include West Virginia’s first domestic violence shelter, RDVIC has been faithfully serving survivors for over 50 years.
RDVIC strives to provide a community-based comprehensive service that advocates for the equal rights of all individuals to have control of their lives without violence or threat of violence.
RDVIC provides emergency shelter, counseling, support group, advocacy, community education, and volunteer opportunities--all confidential and free of charge--to survivors in Monongalia, Taylor, and Preston counties.
